Tim Wolfe Design artwork creation process

Tim Wolfe Design artworks are created from concept to clay to the final reproduction of each statue by Tim Wolfe himself. After sculpting the original clay model, Tim pours the master mold using the highest quality silicone rubber to capture the most intricate detail and insure each artwork is replicated perfectly. Besides the actual sculpting of an artwork, creating the master mold is perhaps the most important step in the production process.

Once the mold material has cured, Tim carefully removes it from the clay sculpture. It is then sent to our production facility where it will be used to create molds from which the final castings area produced. These reproductions of the original artwork are cast in a mixture of high quality resins and alabaster stone powder. This material reproduces in beautiful, fine detail which gives us the ability to create intricate and highly complex casting not often seen in similar artworks.

Each Tim Wolfe Design artwork is carefully painted and antiqued by artisans trained by Tim Wolfe using his own finishing process. After the reproduction castings of Tim's original sculptures are approved, he paints and finishes several samples from which the artisans will work. Finished samples from the artisans must then be approved before production can finally begin. Tim's complete "hands-on" involvement and his insistence on excellence sets Tim Wolfe Design apart from the mainstream and insures the superb quality of each Tim Wolfe Design artwork.
